DTNA 800,000th vehicle made at North Carolina plant
10 September

Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) introduced the manufacturing of the 800,000th car constructed at its Cleveland Truck Manufacturing Plant in North Carolina.

Keys to the milestone car – a Freightliner Cascadia – have been introduced to representatives from Previous Dominion Freight Line late final month.

Freightliner Vans acquired the plant in 1989 and began producing the Freightliner Medium Typical there. Over time, the product line-up at Cleveland has developed. At this time, along with the Class 8 Freightliner Cascadia, the Cleveland plant additionally produces the Western Star 47X, 49X and – quickly – the newly unveiled 57X.

Cleveland can also be the location of manufacturing for right-hand drive variations of the Freightliner Cascadia shipped to worldwide markets.
